| Treebeard are a 5 piece band who describe their music as “Heavy Wood” an eclectic selection of modern rock & pop songs given an acoustic treatment (“Ace of Spades” on duelling fiddle & accordion), originals about ghostly black dogs & satanic barristers, traditional English & Irish songs & tunes, and traditional Russian tunes (on assorted HUGE balalaikas!). All topped off with four part harmony vocals. The line up is :- Chris McMahon:- 12 string guitar, bouzouki, accordion, balalaikas, vocals Paul McMahon:- bass guitar, balalaikas, vocals Ceri Ashton:- flute, fiddle, viola, whistle & vocals Paul Chisnell:- Djembe, Congas, Dumbek, assorted percussion & vocals Gordon Walker:- fiddle, mandolin & vocals We have recorded one CD, "Heavy Wood", and have a track “Train” featured on the “Forged in Sheffield” folk compilation CD. |

| A fantastic multi-talented group of musicians who played a mixture of traditional Irish music interspersed with a blend of rock, pop and country that had everyone on the dance floor all night long. Superb! Have already re-booked them for our beer festival in July and for our St. Pat's Dance next year! | |
